Berta Lou Sikes

Berta Lou Sikes, 96, of Hilliard, FL passed away at her home Tuesday, August 13, 2024. She was born February 12, 1928 in St. Augustine, FL to the late Leon Andrew Perpall and Nettie Conner Reeves. She loved gardening and was an excellent cook. She was a member of Nathalene Primitive Baptist Church in Hilliard.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Roy Addison Sikes, Sr.; a great grandson: Rhett Sikes; 2-sisters: Mary Jean Taylor and Esma Perpall Poole; 3-brothers: J.L. Reeves, Wiley Reeves and Leon Perpall.

She is survived by children: Annette Sikes Lawson and Roy (Lilah) Sikes, Jr.; 2-grandchildren: R.A. Sikes and Natasha (Gary) Raulerson; 2-great grandchildren: Brent Sikes and Colton Raulerson; a brother: Marvin Reeves and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The family will receive friends Friday, August 16 at Mrs. Sikes home at 2101 Addison Lane, Hilliard, FL beginning after 2:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 17 at 10:00 AM at Nathalene Primitive Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Mill Creek Cemetery.
