Brenda Michelle Kirkland Brantley, 60, of Sanderson, FL passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2024. She was born in Jacksonville, FL on December 11, 1963, to the late Noah “Red” Kirkland and Carolyn Adams Kirkland. Brenda was a member of St. George Church of God. Brenda’s fight and love for God was an inspiration to all who knew her. She loved spending time with her grandbabies, cooking and trying new recipes, fishing, doing puzzles and yard work. You’d be hard pressed to find Brenda without Miley, her beloved and spoiled dog, by her side.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two husbands: William “David” Brantley and Gary “Donald” Johns; and a sister: Linda “Gail” Kirkland Gay.
She is survived by her daughter: Rebecca “Michelle” Harter (Pat); her son: Alec Wolf Quintavalle; step-children: Lindsey Stafford and David Johns; grandchildren: Noah Harter, Teagan Harter, Taryn Harter, Palmer Harter, Evan Quintavalle, Isla Quintavalle, Ashlyn Bullard, and Shalyn Howard; great-grandson: Brady Bullard; sister: Pam Snider (Ralph); nephews: Casey Jones (Carmen) and Daniel Sofge (Ashley); nieces: Nikki Brooks (Brad) and Harlee Thomas (Alex); great-nephews: Clay, Waylon, Logan, Jace, Jacob, Tyler, and Killian; great-nieces: Abby, Mia, and Lily; special friends: Scott & Beverly Boothe, Tammy Conley, Renee Lyle, and Robin Sutton; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members that loved and adored her.
A service will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at St. George Church of God with Pastor Grady Albritton officiating. Burial will follow at River Road Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
