Donna Elaine Hunt

Donna Elaine Hunt, 68, passed away peacefully Friday, August 23, 2024 surrounded by loved ones. She was born October 15, 1955 to Delva Marie (Taylor) Cash and Clyde Herman Cash. She was the eldest daughter of seven children. She spent the majority of her life in Jacksonville, Florida, but she was lately of Camden County, Georgia. She was married to Walter George Hunt on January 10, 1975 and remained his dutiful wife for the next 44 years until his death August 4, 2019. Donna's greatest strength was her dedication to family. She was a loving mother, caring daughter, thoughtful sister, and beloved Nana. She also enjoyed her career as a bookkeeper and tax preparer for many years. She took pride in her many years of volunteer work with the Dorcas Drake Christmas Party. She was also known to her family as a great cook and was special to all who knew her.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by two older brothers: Clyde Ronald Cash and John Michael Cash.

She is survived by her five children: Christopher George Hunt, Sara Elizabeth Higginbotham (Daniel), Lisa Marie Hoffman (Kevin), Kenneth Adam Hunt, and Laura Elaine Hunt; four siblings: Richard Mark Cash, Bobby Glenn Cash (Marlo), Patricia Marie Hunt, and Randy Lloyd Cash; thirteen grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Donna was a Christian woman and has gone to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We love you always, Mom, Nana, Aunt Donna. You are missed by us all.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home – Callahan Chapel, 617365 Brandies Avenue, Callahan, Florida. Reception to follow at 45401 Mickler Street, Callahan, Florida.
