Lucy Edwards Terrell

Lucy Edwards Terrell, 72, of Callahan passed away peacefully at home on Monday, July 1, 2024. 

Lucy was a homemaker. She spent her days making sure everything at home was taken care of. She was a former Nassau County 4-H leader serving as the leader of Callahan Country Kids. She was a former board member and volunteer of the Northeast Florida Fair Association, board member and officer of the Jones Cemetery Association and former Nassau County Soil and Water Conservation District board member. 

She is predeceased by her husband, James L. Terrell, Jr., her parents Haskell and Cecile Edwards and an uncle William Earnhart. 

She leaves behind a daughter Shelly Terrell, son James L. Terrell lll-Jodi, grandchildren Bellamy and Brenham Terrell, brother Tom Edwards, aunt Ethlynn Earnhart, one nephew Matt Edwards, and two nieces Mandy White and Kiley Middleton. 

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home - Callahan Chapel. A service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 8, 2024, at Callahan Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Jones Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matt Edwards, Chris White, Michael Wingate, Clark Higginbotham, Don Hyatt, John Wilkinson, Bruce Musgrove, and Robbie Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Wingate, Eliott Kennedy, Joshua Rivers, Don Tanner, and Niel Hampton.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Nassau County 4-H Association, 543350 US 1, Callahan, FL 32011.
