Wayne Drury

 Wayne Drury was born on June 3, 1948, in Jacksonville, FL. On August 5, 2024, Wayne Drury went home to be with the Lord and to rejoin many family members and friends in Heaven. Wayne loved the Lord and was a member of Joy Baptist Church where he often played the spoons. He was a witness everywhere he went.

Wayne is survived by his daughter, Sandra (Billy) Harrison, and his only grandson, Austin Harrison and granddaughters, Caylee Harrison and Madison Harrison. Great granddaughter, Sawyer Chason. He is also survived by his sister, Diane Drury, and brothers, Ronnie Drury (Dena), Bobby Drury (Vicky), and Jimmy Drury (Carol). Wayne leaves behind several nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.

Wayne was preceded in death by his wife, Annette (Ogletree) Drury, his parents, Dorothy (Griffin) Drury and Sonny Drury, and his siblings, David Drury, Billy Drury, Tommy Drury, and Gail (Drury) Dupree.

Wayne’s legacy of love and kindness will be remembered by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Wayne's Life will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024, at 11:00 am at The Anchor Church in Callahan. Interment will follow at Live Oak Baptist Church in Callahan. The family will receive friends from 10:00am–11:00am prior to the service at The Anchor Church of God. Pallbearers will be Donnie Slayton, Johnny Slayton, Robbie Dupree, David "Bo" Drury, Jared Drury, and Blake Drury. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronnie Slayton, Jr., Ryan Drury, Waylon Hearn, and Christopher Carter. 

The arrangements are under the care and direction of Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home.
